Product Overview

Oximetry sensor is a versatile finger sensor that offers flexibility for monitoring SpO2, whether instantaneous control or continuous monitoring is required. Their special design offers comfort to the patient and optimal distribution of pressure on the finger. The Nonin 8000SL 6835-300 finger sensor provides consistent and stable results even in low blood pressure conditions. The specially designed PureLight® sensor it uses produces a high-intensity spectrum of clear light which eliminates changes in patient-to-patient measurements, giving even more accurate results. LED infrared light sources are responsible for measuring oxygenated or non-oxygenated hemoglobin and light emission is important for the effective measurement of SpO2. Common red LED light produces a secondary emission spectrum (contamination), which affects the measurement and calibration curve of the oximeter resulting in inaccurate SpO2 readings below 80%. PureLight® red light produces only the bright light spectrum, which does not cause the oximeter calibration curve to shift below SpO2 levels below 80%.
