The DSD Bridge Kit was designed to allow the reprocessing of endoscopes with electrical components that may not be submerged. Examples of endoscopes or devices that may utilize this bridge system include, but are not limited to, some models of ultrasound endoscopes and TEE Probes. The DSD Bridge Kit may be used with any of the MEDIVATORS DSD or SSD series endoscope reprocessors. The DSD Bridge Kit includes a bridge and modi ed oating lid. The endoscope is placed in the basin with the electronic component placed on the bridge. The new oating lid includes a notch for the tubing. Note the distance from the top of the bridge to the contact level of disinfectant is 3.25 inches. It is the responsibility of the facility to ensure that all patient contact areas of the endoscope are positioned in the disinfectant contact area.
