This 1/4 inch National Pipe Thread Male (NPTM) Fitting is used in the supply line of Infant Resuscitation systems (IRS) for Medical Grade Air. These adapters consist of two fitting halves with male and female National Pipe Threads (NPT).The adapter is designed as per Diameter Index Safety System (DISS) which establishes a standard for non-interchangeable, removable connections for use with Medical Gases (200 psi max.), Vacuum (Suction), and WAGD (Evacuation) Service. Non-interchangeable indexing is achieved by a series of increasing and decreasing diameters in the components of the connections. The male and female thread designs on each end allow it to be used with all National Pipe Threads. This fitting can be used with GE's Infant Resuscitation Systems.
