The operator switch control panels will be located on the right side of the CT gantry. Communication to the 16 switch control to be via a microprocessor circuit and one switch controlled by electrical interface. The control panel will provide two basic functions. It will accept input from the user through pressing a button and that information to the system through the microprocessor circuit. The control panel will also provide information to the user through the use of three seven-segment displays and seven indicating LEDs. The control panel switches are made of elastomer and it is defined by shape, location, grouping and logo symbol. The surface of the switch has a high quality appearance over its entire useful life and it is cleanable with normal hospital solutions. It is also to be protected from cleaning solution penetration and minimize entrapment of pathogens.
