The Joystick Encoder 8 Position is used in ultrasound and other Digital Imaging (DI) healthcare devices. It is mounted in the operator panel of the machine and helps in scanning display functions. The touch panel and joystick rotary control arrangement comes together, and it is used in selecting the overlay of three dimensional dataset onto the ultrasound image. Pushing the overlay (joystick rotary controls) key provides a quick way to switch between all 2D ultrasound, 3D dataset or combination of both. Rotating this varies the relative weighting between the ultrasound and Magnetic Resonance (MR) or Computed Tomography (CT) images.
