The Alternating Current (AC) Cord for US Class 2.5m is mainly used in the ultrasound machines, Computed Tomography (CT) machines and a few other Digital Imaging (DI) machines. It is the connection between the AC power outlet and the AC adapter. It has several respective types to meet the requirements of the standards being followed in different countries, including voltage, frequency and safety regulation. This particular AC power cord is used in United States (US) and the manufacture follows their codes and standards. It has a straight cable with a three pin input plug at one end and a three pin straight connector at the other, which connects with the adaptor and continues to the system. Both the ends have protective grounds for safety purposes. It comes with a label which has the basic details printed on it. The power cord has to be plugged in while in use and disconnected properly while moving the system from one place to other.
