Internal teeth is designed to prevent a fastener head from loosening with the strut action created by the teeth. Internal tooth lock washer is made up of stainless steel which has excellent resistance to chemicals and salt water. This may act as a mildly magnetic washer also prevents the fasteners from corrosion. This washer is specially used in many machine for fastening the parts together, such as Engstrom S&A, Aespire 7100, XR Optima XR220amx, Aisys CS2, Aespire 100, ARC Aestiva MRI, Aisys and MR Signa Explorer F 1.5T.
