Product Overview
  • The Outer Cam comes as a part of the heater housing assembly in the Giraffe®⢠OmniBed, which combines the features of an Incubator and a radiant warmer. It can be transmitted from one mode to the other. When used as an Incubator, a fan and heater beneath the bed circulate warm air through the closed patient compartment. The Infant can be accessed through portholes or bed panels. The heater housing assembly consists of heater doors, east and west. A cable guide in installed on the edge of the door by means of the outer cam. The notch on the raised portion of the cam faces away from the spring and spool assembly. There are switches installed on the cam such that, the rotation of the cams closes or opens the switches, thus providing heat to the device when needed. It is made of Delrin®, a thermoplastic material which is highly tough. It has high resistance to chemicals and is dimensionally stable, making it reliable.
