Product Overview

The constant force spring consists of strip material, which has been shaped and pre-tensioned into a tightly wound roll. The spring is used in a linear movement and produces almost constant force throughout its deflection. Constant force springs can be fitted in a number of ways and extended partly or completely. There is practically no limit on extension speed and acceleration. The life of the spring is determined by the relation between the diameter of the spring and the thickness of the material. Type 301 is an austenitic stainless steel with a nominal composition of 17% chromium and 7% nickel, which provides good strength and ductility when cold worked. It also has excellent corrosion resistance properties. This part is used in Giraffe™ OmniBed - Lower Buoyancy machines as well as Modular, ARC Aespire 7900, ARC Avance Carestation and MIC - Other Infant Care.

Additional Features:
  • Easy to assemble and disassemble
  • Features
    • Extensive linear range
    • High corrosion resistance
    • Strong force yield within small spaces
    • Ability to perform in high temperatures
