The Plug - Breathing System Bag-to-Vent Switch 18mm is a silicone plug that is one of the service tools in anesthesia machines. It is used in the testing of the flow rate in the flow sensor module. It is also used in the testing of other sensor modules like the Sensor Interface Board (SIB), Monitoring Interface Assembly (MIA) and in testing of breathing system components. The plug will block the flow sensor and the low pressure leak test will take place to check the leakage. It has low thermal conductivity and good thermal stability. It has an exceptional property called weatherability in which can be exposed to wind, rain and UV radiations for long durations and there will not be any changes to its physical properties. It has good resistance to oil even at high temperatures for long durations. It acts as a good electrical insulator across a wide range of temperatures and has good resistance to corona discharge and other high voltage applications as well.
