Bulkhead assembly contains the provision for common gas outlet, port connector, tubing, inline coupling and retaining rings etc. This bulkhead is made up of glass fiber reinforced nylon resin. Bulkhead does not have the sharp edges and corners, which will not harm the users. Glass fiber reinforces nylon resin material provides the high stiffness, increased stability when exposed to temperature changes and good thermal expansion to bulkhead. Bulkhead has one of the provision or facility called Common Gas Outlet (CGO)/Auxiliary Common Gas Outlet (ACGO), through which fresh air flows from the common gas manifold of the anesthesia machine into the inspiratory limb of the circle module. The ACGO has the switch that directs the fresh air flow either to the CGO outlet on the bulkhead of the breathing system or to the ACGO outlet at the front of the breathing system. This auxiliary outlet provides fresh gas to external circuits. This bulkhead is being used many in anesthesia breathing systems such as UL Voluson P8, ARC Aestiva 7100 and ARC Aestiva 3000.
