- Batteries, patient monitoring, infusion pumps, beds and tables are the top modalities affected by the supply chain disruptions, creating additional backorders across the industry
- 92% of these backordered items are Biomed products, with batteries making up 20% of the delays. Shortages in raw materials for batteries, like lithium, chips and aluminum, are contributing to this limited availability
- Production in the plastics used to create many medical supplies has slowed in the United States due to a limited resin supply and weather issues surrounding production facilities
- Along with product delays, inflation is impacting prices for the material and services of products. Many suppliers are anticipating price increases. Our PRECISION Procurement® algorithm leverages quality and performance metrics while providing multiple product options that can help save costs

Orders page regularly for the latest updates. Also,
