I hope your summer is off to a great start and your team is faring well, despite the resource challenges facing our industry. Our team continues to actively monitor backorders and engage with suppliers on resolutions. Below are the recent trends we would like to share with you.
Supply Chain Trends
- While backorders continue to be a challenge across the industry, some suppliers are seeing reductions over the past month. One supplier partner that has been impacted most, reduced their backorder activity by 30%.
- 95% of reported backorders are Biomed products, with batteries making up 35% of the delays. Shortages in raw materials for batteries, like lithium, chips and aluminum, are contributing to this limited availability.
