I hope you are having a great summer. Our team continues to actively monitor backorders and engage with suppliers on resolutions. Below are the recent trends that our top suppliers have shared with us.
Supply Chain Trends
- China COVID shutdowns greatly impacted delivery of their products, such as PM kits. However, one supplier of PM kits said they are starting to experience improved production and should start to ship some of the backordered products this month. They hope to catch up all orders by October 31.
- Lithium and other components needed to make batteries are in high demand which is causing supply shortages. OEM original batteries used in certain Philips IntelliVue, PageWriter, SureSigns and Efficia monitors are impacted by this shortage and the batteries are expected to be restocked by October 1.
- Beds, tables and patient monitors have been impacted by steel shortages. One supplier of these items noted that the shortage is partially resolved, and they expect to be fully recovered by the middle of August.
